Megan Nisenson provides psychotherapy services for individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan. Her approach is warm, evidence-based, and always tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. Sessions are available in-person in Westport and Greenwich, CT, and via secure telehealth.
Individual Therapy
Megan works with children, teens, and adults seeking support with emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, life transitions, and more.
Using a personalized blend of Internal Family Systems (IFS – Level 3), EMDR, DBT, CBT, and mindfulness-based approaches, she helps clients build insight, reduce distress, and cultivate clarity, connection, and self-leadership.
Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready to grow, Megan will meet you where you are and help guide you toward meaningful change.
Family Therapy
Family systems can be both a source of strength and strain. Megan helps families work through patterns of disconnection, communication challenges, sibling conflict, parenting stress, and life-stage transitions.
Drawing from Structural Family Therapy, IFS, and other systemic approaches, family sessions are designed to enhance communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen the entire family unit.
Common reasons families seek therapy include:
-
Emotional or behavioral challenges in children/teens
-
School or peer-related difficulties
-
Divorce, remarriage, or blending families
-
Coping with illness, grief, or trauma
-
Improving day-to-day dynamics at home
Couples Therapy
Megan provides thoughtful, supportive guidance to couples navigating challenges in communication, intimacy, trust, and shared decision-making. She helps partners understand one another more deeply, uncover stuck relational patterns, and develop new ways to connect and resolve conflict.
Whether you’re dating, married, co-parenting, or rebuilding after rupture, Megan helps couples clarify their needs, align values, and build a more resilient, connected partnership.
